You have heard the saying, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. This is especially true with heart disease. When you catch health problems early then you have more treatment options. Annual physicals are a great way to detect factors that signal a health problem. They only take about an hour of your time. It is the best time that you will spend in your year.
Prevention is important to keeping yourself from experiencing the effects of heart disease. Stopping smoking, ensuring you are getting proper nutrition, lowering your weight, and getting an annual physical are great ways to prevent heart disease.
